DALI-2 devices are not visible in the Node-RED

If you can’t see any devices in the DALI2 devs or DALI2 devs common node it may be because of a lack of communication between Node-RED and the Vertex GUI. Reboot Vertex to solve that issue.

Before you start

Make sure that you set up the Vertex controller configuration using Firestarter. See how to do this here: 1. Setting up the network

Checking the communication between Node-RED and Vertex GUI

1. Log in to the Node-RED.

2. Check the connection status of all the nodes. They should have green squares with Connected status below.
   
   

   Open

   

3. Check if they have a red square below. If so, the communication between Node-RED and Vertex is broken. You won’t be able to find devices in the DALI2 devs node.

4. Reboot the Vertex controller. Read this instruction if you’re not sure how to do that Manual reboot of the Vertex.

5. Now the communication should be back and you see the list of connected DALI-2 devices in the DALI2 devs (or DALI2 devs common) node.
