Cutting & Pasting Devices Between Drawings
Why might this be necessary?
You have commissioned devices on simulated drawings and accurate plans become available.
You have commissioned devices on the incorrect drawing and need to move them to the correct drawing without having to start again.
It is strongly advised that you back up the tablet to the cloud and then turn off Uploading before cutting and pasting devices.
There is no undo function if you make a mistake.
Step by step instructions
Cutting
Ensure the new drawing is imported and ready to use.
Go to the drawing where you wish to move the devices from.
Select the devices you wish to Cut and Paste by entering the Luminaires tab[1], Locate section [2] and highlighting the group of devices [3].
Long press ‘Delete xx Devices' [4], this will change to Paste. As soon as you long press ‘Delete xx Devices', the devices will disappear from the drawing.
Pasting
Select the drawing you wish to Paste to. The Group Commands section will allow you to paste your previously cut devices to the drawing.
Click on the drawing to paste, amke sure to do this in a top left corner, to fit all devices.
If you tap in an area where the fittings will not all fit on the drawing i.e. bottom right then several devices will be missing from the drawing.
If you do this then the next time you go into the drawing this message will show and you will need to click Yes, then re-find/re-commission the devices.
Repeat the cutting and pasting process for any additional devices. You can reposition devices on the new drawing by swiping over the devices and using the wheel in the bottom right of the screen.
Once you are happy that the devices are in the correct place on the correct drawing, upload the data by turning on Uploading in Cloud control. This will overwrite previously uploaded drawings.
