2. b. Site Maps
Using the commissioning software on the tablet it is possible to set up a Site Map of your building. This allows for an accurate layout of drawings on multiple levels. An accurate site map is important for ACCESS POINT reporting.
On this page you will learn how to set up site maps using your tablet and we will show you an example of where and how they are used.
Setting up a Site Map
Set up all of your drawings. You can either set up the Site Map before you do any on site commissioning work or at any time once all devices are located and commissioned.
Enter the Drawings tab [1] and click on Site Map [2].
This will show you all of the drawings for this site.
If all of the drawings are on the same level you can now move them to the correct positions.
Tap on the drawing you wish to move, it will be highlighted yellow. [3]
Now drag the drawings to the desired position.
Setting Up Multiple Levels
Tap Add Level to add additional levels. Tap on the drawing you wish to move to another level > tap the level you want to move it to. [4]
You will be asked if you want to move drawing to Level you click on, confirm Yes or No.
You will also be asked if you wish to keep current position of the drawing on the site map, confirm Yes or No. If you select Yes the drawing will be dropped in the same position on the selected floor. If you select No then it will be dropped into the top left.
Resizing site map
The resize button allows you to resize the site map as a whole. [5]
You will be asked to put in a width of the whole building. It’s not important that this is accurate to the nearest metre but keeping it in line with individual drawings will make the overall Site Map more accurate.
You will also see an error message if one of your individual drawings is larger than your overall layout.
This can be corrected by making the overall Site Map larger or resizing the individual drawings.
