Emergency setup

This article describes emergency tab and special procedures on how to manage emergency devices on our site.

The Emergency setup tab is on the left side of the screen [1]. After entering this emergency part you should see three sections at the top - Scheduling, Reports and Calendar [2].

Scheduling

The scheduling section allows to create emergency groups and configure emergency tests very easily and step-by-step.

We advise dividing your emeregncy lighting into test groups. This is done for the safety reasons. We avoid having all emergency luminaires in a single group so that after a duration test you still have emergency lighting in the event of a power failure.

In Number of groups list select number of emergency groups [3]. On your site for different groups you can provide different test schedules. By default amount of groups is one. After this selection go to next step by clicking Assign devices or arrow on the right [4].

You can let the system divide your emergency liminaires for you using different options:

  • Reasign all devices randomly [5] or

  • Reasign all devices sequentially [6]

  • do it yourself by drag and drop.

When every Emergency luminaire is assigned go to the next step by clicking Schedule overview or the arrow to the right [7].

Next step is about scheduling Functional test and Emergency test for several groups.

Functional tests should be triggered once a month using a dedicated scheduler. Too frequent testing may shorten battery life.

Functional test takes 3 minutes. During this process, light source will be supplied from the baterry. The test allows detection of issues related to:

  • Light source failure

  • Electronics failure

  • Battery failure

Duration tests should be triggered once a year using a dedicated scheduler. Too frequent testing may shorten battery life.

Duration tests can be triggered only if the battery is fully charged. Otherwise, the test will be queued and started right after the charging process. The duration test takes 1-3 hours, depending on the desired operating time. During this process, light source will be supplied from the spare battery. The test allows detection of issues related to:

  • Light source failure

  • Electronics failure

  • Battery failure

  • Short battery life

Select the date in which you want to start doing the reports [8]. Set the time and frequency of the functional [9] and duration [10] test. After performing this actions use Save button to finish [11].

Reports

Your done reports will be listed on the Reports tab.

You can sort them using filtering by the date, result of the test and report type [12]. It is possible to see only latest reports [13]. To see the details of particular report click generate report [14].

You can print it to the pdf or by printer using the Print report button [15].

Calendar

The calendar sections allow you to preview your scheduled test.

Select group you want to preview [16] and select scheduled test to see a details [17]. From there you have the option of deleting an event.
