(Classic) 7. Grouping of luminaires

Make sure that you've completed the previous step: Identifying luminaires.

Create groups and add luminaires to them.

Emergency lighting luminaires can be divided into 8 ready-made test groups. This is done for the safety of the given building. It reduces the risk of lacking battery backup in the entire building after a performed battery backup duration test or battery formatting in the event of a power failure and blackout.

Creating a new group (general lighting only)

  1. Go to the Devices/Groups.

  2. Log in as an administrator.

  3. Enter the name of the group in the text field on the right.

4. Select the “+” button.

Adding luminaires to groups

  1. Go to the Devices/Groups.

    1. if you want to group the general lighting, select Control groups,

    2. if you want to group the emergency lighting, select Test groups.

  2. Log in as an administrator.

  3. Select the group in the “Show … group” field.

4. Select the luminaires you want to add by selecting the checkbox on the left side of the luminaire list.

5. Select the right arrow to add selected luminaires to the group.

6. After a few seconds, you will see that luminaires were added to the group.

Remember that each emergency luminaire should be assigned to a test group. Do not put every luminaire in the same group. It should be done accordingly to the position of the luminaires on-site, so that when an emergency situation occurs, safety can still be ensured.
