(Classic) Broadcasting buttons in the E2D system

Some DALI-2 equipment like buttons may be used as a stand-alone system for controlling the light. In such a situation, these buttons are working in application controller mode. In the E2D, you need to be sure that application controller mode is disabled on these devices. In another case, you may notice the faulty operation of the system. Find how to disable application controller mode in VERTEX GUI.

Instructions

  1. Log in to the VERTEX GUI using the service username and password.

  2. Go to the Groups section and select Settings.

3. Select the device which is generating the issues. If you’re not sure which button is the source of problems, check all DALI-2 devices in the cluster.

4. Select the option Change Properties at the bottom of the page.

5. Select the Basic DALI-2 from the drop-down list.

6. Check the Send checkbox for the Application controller and set Value to Disabled. Then click the Run button and confirm your action.


7. The application controller mode is now disabled.
