System architecture

Glamox Ethernet2DALI (E2D) is a lighting management system (LMS) based on the DALI-2 protocol. It enables the creation of large-scale control systems using features such as motion and presence sensing, daylight harvesting, scheduling, and more advanced functionalities.

The heart of the system is the Vertex application controller. You connect all DALI-2 devices - such as luminaires, sensors, switch panels, and emergency lighting - to Vertex. These devices communicate using the DALI-2 protocol, forming an intelligent, integrated system. See DALI design - limits

The system is highly flexible and scalable. You can easily expand it by adding more Vertex controllers and devices, such as the ATLAS remote access kit or a tablet. Communication takes place over an Ethernet network. See LAN network design
