If you can’t see any devices in the DALI2 devs or DALI2 devs common node it may be the result of a lack of communication between Node-RED and Vertex GUI. Reboot Vertex to solve these issues.

Before you start

Make sure that the Vertex controller configuration has been set up using Firestarter. See how to do this here: Firestarter - setting up the network

Checking the communication between Node-RED and Vertex GUI

  1. Log in to the Node-RED.

  2. Check the connection status of the nodes. They should have green squares with Connected status below.

  3. If they have a red square below, the communication between Node-RED and Vertex is broken. You won’t be able to find devices in the DALI2 devs node.

4. Reboot the Vertex controller. Check this instruction Rebooting the Vertex.

5. Now the communication should be back and you will see the list of connected DALI-2 devices in the DALI2 devs (or Dali2 devs Common) node.
