After you have added the simulated devices 3. Creating Simulated Devices, you need to identify and replace them with real devices.

Step by step instructions

  1. Select Locate [1].

  2. Ensure your DONGLE is connected and Bluetooth Symbol is illuminated (. If not see 4. Connecting a DONGLE ).or DONGLE BLE

  3. Select Find [2], if you are in the range of devices, the list will populate with up to 9 devices.

  1. Tap on the device and use the Override Off [3] button on the top left of the screen. This will turn the luminaire off for 3 seconds to allow you to identify which luminaire it is.

  1. If you keep finding devices you want to identify at a later time you can move them to the hold pen [3]. To release devices from hold pen click on it and you will be able to find those devices one more.

Blue icon of light means it's synchronised and good. Green dot on top means the light is on.

  1. Select the device you want to identify and use one of the buttons dependng on your need:

  • (3s) - will turn the lumianire on and off every 3 seconds until you click the button again [4]

  • On - will turn on the luminaire for 3 seconds [5]

  • Off - will turn the lumianire off [6]

titleChanging the time of blinking during identification

To change the preset 3 seconds to a deferent time long click the (3s) button. A window will apear where you enter the desired time between 3 and 1800 seconds.

  1. Once you know which luminaire it is, tap and hold the device and drop it over the simulated device. A Warning message will appear to advise you about replacing the device, click Yes [4]7].
    If you have no simulated devices, click and hold the device and drag it onto the drawing and position it manually.

  1. Once you have located all of the luminaires in the Find bar, select Find again to repeat the process. Devices will continue to be found until they are all on a drawing.

If you have not simulated devices, click and hold the device and drag it onto the drawing and position it manually.

If you drag a luminaire onto the wrong drawing, this can be dragged back off the drawing or into the Find Bar so it can be found again.

If you are too far from one of the found devices:

  • you can ignore it and Press Find again (the device will be found again on a subsequent Find)

  • or drop it into the 'Hold Box' - the small white box below the Find Box

    Emergency luminaires

    If you have emergency luminaires, these should be identified at this stage of the process. This should always be done in accordance with the drawings, with a visual check of the luminaire to make certain it is an emergency luminaire.

    1. When locating luminaires and you find an emergency luminaire, select Configure [58] in the bottom left of the screen and select Emergency [69]on the left hand side. This will apply an 'E' to the selected luminaire for identification.
