How does it work?

A single system or project can set up multiple Wireless Zigbee (WZ) nodes within one network. The network can be divided into areas and zones, enabling both automatic and manual lighting control.

Setting Up the Network

You can configure your system using the Glamox Wireless Zigbee app, which turns your phone into a gateway. The app establishes a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection with the first WZ device added to the network. It then:

  1. Creates a network ID key

  2. Exchanges BLE security credentials

  3. Adds the first WZ device to Group A

Next, you can add additional devices to the same group. Each new device receives the same network ID key as the first, allowing seamless integration. You can connect up to 120 devices in a group; beyond this limit, creating a new group is recommended.

Network Functionality

Each WZ device in a group forms part of a Zigbee mesh network, ensuring reliable communication across all connected devices.

To add a manual switch, the app opens a Zigbee GreenPower network, allowing the installer to commission a kinetic switch for manual light control. Once the group is created, lighting behavior can be customized using the Glamox Wireless Zigbee app
