We recommend using the latest version of the software (the highest number of version).

The latest version marked as OFFICIAL is currently being installed in the production process.

Some versions are marked as HOTFIX - it means they contain an unplanned but important fix.

You can only update the software version to a version for the same generation of Vertex. You cannot update e.g. Vertex 2.8.6053 software to 3.1.8 or conversely.
