(Classic) 4. Clearing devices on the buses

Make sure that you've completed the previous step: Vertex software updating.

Clear the devices on the bus(es) to be sure they will be properly read and addressed by the Vertex unit.

Instructions

  1. Log into the Vertex GUI as an administrator.

  2. Go to the Devices/Groups section and then select Settings.

  3. Select the Vertex/Port tab and choose the ports on which you want to clear devices.

 

4. Select the Clear devices action from the panel below. Then select Run and confirm your selection in the prompt window.

 

Clearing devices may take a while, usually about 30 seconds. After this operation, the Vertex controller finds the devices connected to the DALI port again and assigns addresses to them. This may take several minutes.
