This article shows how to connect Kenetic switch when you have BLE Dongle connected and luminaire is identified.

Necessary components

Connecting a DONGLE

LMS WIRELESS TABLET

Requires a Glamox Wireless Radio luminaire with CPW2-SEN sensor with firmware version 6.8.135 or newer, if you have older software go to troubleshooting article Connecting DONGLE (BLE)


Step by step instructions

1. Enabling the EnOcean Master Luminaire:

Make sure the desired luminaire is on firmware version 6.8.135 or newer.

1.1. Enter the Luminaires tab [1] and choose the open the configure option. Click on the desired luminaire with CPW2-sen [2] to pair with the EnOcean switch (this will act as the EnOcean Master).

1.2. Click ‘Configuration' [3] and tick the ‘Enable EnOcean’ box (EO) [4]. A virtual EnOcean device will appear next to the device on the drawing [5]. The EnOcean ID will be the digits of the luminiare and a zero (on the drawing you will see a shortcut).

2. Pairing EnOcean Switch to EnOcean Master luminiare

2.1. Click on the virtual EnOcean Luminaire [6].

2.2. Click the ‘Pair’ button [7] to activate commissioning mode.

2.3. Perform the following steps on the physical EnOcean switch:

  • press button for seven seconds

  • Release button

  • Tap the same button

  • Release button

  • Press button for seven seconds

Confirmation blink:

Observe the light connected to the EnOcean device. It should blink three times, indicating a successful commissioning.

3. Establishing Links for Scene Control

To perform these actions go to the Luminaires tab and to the Link option [8].

3.1. Linking virtual EnOcean switch device and EnOcean Master luminaire to self

Click on the EnOcean Master luminaire [9] and select ‘Link to Self' [10].

Repeat the process for the virtual EnOcean switch device [11] .

3.2. Linking virtual EnOcean switch device to EnOcean Master luminaire

Draw a directional presence link from the virtual EnOcean switch [12] to the EnOcean Master luminaire [13] .

3.3. Linking to other Wireless Radio devices

Draw directional prescence links from the virtual EnOcean device [14] to other surrounding devices which need to be controlled by the EnOcean switch.

You can also create presence links by highlighting the devices you want to be linked and click ‘Link from x', using the virtual EnOcean device serial ID.

4. Creating and Assigning the EnOcean Scene Profile/Settings:

We now need to create dedicated profiles for the EnOcean switch to work from.

If you will want for one button to set some lights to light level A and some other to light level B etc. you will need to create multiple profiles.

4.1. Enter the ‘Profiles’ tab [15] and from the drop down menu[16] , choose ‘NEW PROFILE’.

4.2. Make sure the Controller type is set to SceneController [17] and in the Advanced mode [18] the Dim Up/Down option is ticked [19].

Dimming up - Long press, release and long press again immediately after releasing

4.3. Save the changes [20] and remember the profiles number, you will be needing it later.

4.4. In the ‘Luminaires’ tab, select the new Virtual EnOcean device [21]. Go to ‘Configure’ [22] and from the ‘Scene Profile’ dropdown menu [23] select the newly created EnOcean Scene profile.

4.5. Enter the ‘Scene’ tab [24] and select the ‘EnOcean Master’ serial number in the Scene Controller drop down menu [25].

4.6 Apply the linked profiles from the drop down menu [26] and press 'Sync'.

4.8 Go back to the ‘Luminaires’ tab and make sure the EnOcean Master Configuration is sync’d.

4.9 Proceed to use the EnOcean switch.

If you are using a 2-button EnOcean switch, use scene buttons 3 & 4 in the Commissioning App. If you are using a 4-button EnOcean switch, use scene buttons 1,2,3 & 4.

The EnOcean Master serial number is the same as the physical device, plus an additional '0' on the end. Example: Physical device marked as EnOcean Master = 123456, virtual EnOcean Master acting as the scene controller = 1234560
