There are some common problems with commissioning zigbee buttons. In the article below you will find a description of how to diagnose and remove these problems.

The button is added to the application, but the luminaries do not respond to actions

In many cases this issue is caused by the user mounting the front cover up-side-down.
As the base of the switch is the same for 2B and 4B, putting the cover on the wrong way, will cause the switch to send scene 1 or 2, instead of sending ON/OFF.
It is almost impossible to notice, but there are two nodges that triggers the right function when the button is pressed

The button is not detected by applications

There are two things that can cause the problem.

  • Check whether the phone is not connected via Bluetooth to another device. Button detection is via the Bluetooth protocol, so when the phone is connected to a device (headphones. PC, etc.), the application may not detect the buttons correctly.

  • When pairing the button, the phone should be approximately 1.5 m away from the button. When the devices are too close to each other (phone and button), the signal may be too strong, making communication between these devices difficult.

  • No labels
