You can use your tablet and DONGLE to check the status of your self-test or DALI emergency luminaires. This should be done if you have an offline system i.e. no ACCESS POINTs, to ensure faults are checked and corrected.
Make sure you have downloaded the latest Site ID data from the server before performing the following process. Failure to do so may cause for old Site data to be uploaded by accident, which is non-reversible.
Self-Test Emergencies
Each fitting automatically performs a 3 hour duration test during the year. If it fails this test (i.e. does not drive the LEDs at the correct power for 3 hours+) then this is indicated by a flashing red LED until the battery is changed.
If you change the battery the fitting detects this. It then does a 3 hour duration test 24 hours later to check that the new battery is ok.
A green LED is therefore proof that (a) a function test has run and passed in the last 28 days and (b) a Duration test has run and passed in the last 12 months. This is in accordance with the Emergency Lighting Standard BS/EN 5266 and the Emergency Lighting Automated Testing Standard BS/EN 62034.
The system should be checked once per month.
Different emergency modules have different flash codes and specific indicator LED statuses. Compatibility should be checked with Glamox.
Using the tablet to check emergency status
Make sure you Glamox Dongle is connected and you are standing in the area of the emergency lighting.
In Cloud Control, make sure ‘Write Access’, ‘Master' and 'Uploading’ is selected.
Select the drawing you wish to scan the emergency data for [1].
Click on the Emergency tab [2].
Click ‘Scan’ [3].
All unscanned devices will appear with a blue circle around the device icons. Once the Glamox Dongle has been able to talk to all devices within range, a message will say 'Scanning in this area is complete'.
Repeat this process until all luminaires on the drawing has been scanned.
Once you have updated all emergency luminaires in that area, move to the next drawing and repeat the process.
All non-emergency luminaires will be greyed out.
Uploading the newly scanned emergency statueses
Go back to the ‘Luminaires’ page.
Open Cloud Control (making sure you still have Write Access, Master and Uploading still selected)
Long click on ‘Re-Sync’.
Click ‘Yes’ to override the current server data [4].
Click ‘Re-Sync’ again.
Once you have sync’d the Site data with the server, contact LiteIP to manually accept the new emergnecy data change.
All changes will now be displayed on the Emergnecy Lighting Report the next time you log into the Dashboard for that particular site.

How to Check
To check the system and record the result -
Use the Tablet to download the Emergency Status by moving around your building and refreshing the status;
Ensure your DONGLE is connected >Tap Emergency > the drawing you require > Track > Scan.
Then click on the individual emergency luminaires, their colour will update along with the status in the ‘Selected Device’ information table on the left.
Once you have updated all emergency fittings in that area, move to the next area of the drawing or next drawing.
All non-emergency luminaires will be greyed out.
Uploading
Upload the Tablet data to the Cloud (it will do this automatically if it has been set as the Master Tablet).
Tap the internet icon > check the boxes are ticked in Cloud Control as below > tap Re-Sync.
The normal situation will be that you are the Master and you are Uploading as shown in Cloud control below.
This means that updates or changes that you make will be automatically uploaded to the Cloud when an internet connection becomes available.
