This article is dedicated to troubleshooting questions on the LMS Kinetic Switch.

  1. Kinetic Switch not dimming.

  2. Kinetic switch getting stuck - no option to enter the Kinetic switch in the Luminaires tab.

1. Kinetic switch not dimming

If your Switch is not dimming it might be because you are not in the Advanced settings on the Profile Light IP component. If you leave the Advanced tab and leave it on Basic the dimming function might not work properly. Also make sure if the Dim Up/Down is ticked.

2. Kinetic switch getting stuck

If your switch got stuck it might be because you did not follow the instruction precisely. If you set a profile on the Kinetic Switch improperly or did it before linking to luminaires it might crash.

Long press and move the luminaire with the Kinetic Switch on the luminaire and move it to the Find pen. Do NOT use the Delete button that pops up if you drag your finger over the luminaire to select the device.

Find the luminaire again and drag it to you drawing. The Kinetic Switch functionality will still be enabled and it will work properly. Make sure to follow the instruction step by step when continuing commissioning the Kinetic Switch Installing LMS Wireless Kinetic switch

Kinetic switch will not pair and previously used with another system

Some models of kinetic switch can be reset to its default settings (factory reset). To execute such an operations the rockers and the switch housing have to be removed.

Then press down all of the four button contacts [1]. Now press on the energy bow [2] and hold for 10s. Release the energy bow, click it, release and then hold for another 10 seconds.

Kinetic switch proper placement

Kinetic switch can be confusing to mount. To check which way is up dismantle the buttons and check the A and B marked on the switch - A should be on the left, B on the right. You can also look at the O and I parameter - 0 should be on top and I on the bottom.
