This article shows how to connect Kenetic switch when you have BLE Dongle connected and luminaire is identified.

Necessary components

Connecting a DONGLE

LMS WIRELESS TABLET

Requires a Glamox Wireless Radio luminaire with CPW2-SEN sensor.


Step by step instructions

1. Enabling the EnOcean Master Device:

Make sure the desired luminaire is on software version 6.8.132 or newer.

1.1 Click on the desired luminaire to pair with the EnOcean switch (this will act as the EnOcean Master).

1.2 Click ‘Configuration' and tick the ‘Enable EnOcean’ box (EO) [1]. A spoofed EnOcean device will appear next to the physical device on the drawing [2].

2. Pairing EnOcean Switch to EnOcean Master Device

2.1 Click on the Spoofed EnOcean Master and click on the ‘Configure’ tab.

2.2 Click the ‘Pair’ button [3] to activate commissioning mode.

2.3 Press and hold one of the buttons on the EnOcean switch for approximately 7 seconds, then release the button.

2.4 Immediately after releasing the button, perform a short press on the same button.

2.5 Then, press and hold the same button for approximately 7 seconds, then release the button.

Confirmation blink:

Observe the light connected to the EnOcean device. It should blink three times, indicating a successful commissioning.

3. Establishing Links for Scene Control

Linking EnOcean Master to self

3.1 Click on the physical EnOcean Master device [4].

3.2 Click on the ‘Link’ tab and click ‘Link to Self' [5].

3.3 Draw a directional presence link from the spoofed EnOcean device to the physical EnOcean device.

Linking to other Wireless Radio devices

3.4 Draw a directional link from the spoofed EnOcean device to other surrounding devices which need to be controlled by the EnOcean switch [6].

4. Creating and Assigning the EnOcean Scene Profile/Settings:

We now need to create a bespoke scene profile for the EnOcean switch to work from.

4.1 Click on ‘Profiles’ tab and from the drop down menu, click ‘Create a new scene’

4.2 Make sure the Controller type is set to SceneController [7] and Dim Up/Down is ticked [8]

If you can’t see Dim Up/Down, make sure you are in ‘Advanced’ mode.

4.3 Click on the ‘Luminaires’ tab, then click on the new Virtual EnOcean device [9].

4.4 Click on ‘Configure’ and from the ‘Scene Profile’ dropdown menu [10], select the newly created EnOcean Scene profile.

4.5 Click on the ‘Scene’ tab and select the ‘EnOcean Master’ serial number in the Scene Controller drop down menu [11]

4.6 Apply the linked profiles from the drop down menu [12]

4.7 Press 'Sync'.

4.8 Go back to the ‘Luminaires’ tab and make sure the EnOcean Master Configuration is sync’d.

4.9 Proceed to use the EnOcean switch.

If you are using a 2-button EnOcean switch, use scene buttons 3 & 4 in the Commissioning App. If you are using a 4-button EnOcean switch, use scene buttons 1,2,3 & 4.

The EnOcean Master serial number is the same as the physical device, plus an additional '0' on the end. Example: Physical device marked as EnOcean Master = 123456, virtual EnOcean Master acting as the scene controller = 1234560

Step by step instructions

To have connection with greenpower switch you have to press button in specific way.

  1. Enter the Luminaires tab and choose the open the configure option. Choose master luminaire and turn on enocean checkbox. In the box there will be a change from “-” to “EO”.
    The EnOcean ID will be last three digits of the luminiare and adding a zero.

  1. Open the greenpower icon and select the scene profile related to our luminaire.

Go to the Profiles tab and create a profile that you will be using for Greenpower switches and make sure that LiteIP is set to SceneController and Driver is set to DALI. If you would like to dim up and down luminaire also remember to check Dim Up/Down box. Click save changes.

Now in the Luminaires tab you can select scene profile for your lumianire.

  1. Setting up the scenes

In the luminaires tab click on the EnOcean icon again so that the upper left corner ID number of controller can bee seen.

Go To the Scenes tab and select scene controller with the same ID so in this case 10162240. Each scene corresponds to a button . In one scene you can control many luminaire with different profiles.

You can also go into advanced scenes settings. To do that go to the profiles tab and select Advanced

If you come back to the scenes tab again there will be much more settings here.

New options that will appear are:
- Rank
- Cmd
- Hops
- Delay
Synchronise Profiles box


If you check Synchronise Profiles box all setting will be the same for all profiles.

  1. Linking the luminaires

In the Luminaires tab go to Link and select all luminaires. Then go to the Link From X option, a box will open called “link form” type entire number of greenpower button which you want the luminaires linked to.

  1. Pair greenpower switch

As the last step press the Pair button. If pairing is successful the master luminaire should blink three times.
