It is really helpful to draw a schematic LAN network diagram. Remeber about following rules:

  1. The maximum distance between devices is 100 m.

  2. To connect BMS use Modbus TCP/IP.

  3. LAN switch requires external power supply.

Good practices:

  • Do not use all switch outputs – leave a reserve in case of system expansion or the need for service intervention.

If you have a larger project:

  1. There can be up to 25 Vertexes in one group (cluster). If you need more Vertexes, create another cluster.

  2. One access point can be connected to one cluster. If you have more clusters, you should add new access points.
