Master function in Multi-user mode

It often happens that many users have access to the same project. Imagine a situation where each of them makes changes at the same time. Several alternative versions will be created and there will occure conflicts.

For this reason, a Master System was created in Wireless Radio.

Step by step instructions

  1. To get this working you need to have multi user option enabled in the dashboard. Go to Site settings [1] and select Allow Multi User as True [2]

  2. In tablet go to the configure tab. Online data Sync should appear. If there is a conflict between users, it must be resolved. If there is no conflict, you can proceed directly to step 3.
    A version conflict is always indicated by this message [3]. To resolve it click Resolve Conflict [4]

You will have three option now - Force Upload, Merge and Force Download [5].

Choose one of the following options:

  • Force Upload if you are sure that version on your tablet is the latest one.

  • Force Download If you are sure that the version on the dashboard is the latest one.

  • Merge works like force download but will merge old site with new informations downloaded.

  1. Click Request Master [6]

  1. You can now edit and upload your project.

Deleting Master on site from the Dashboard

Master from Postcode can be deleted from the Dashboard perspective at Site Info → Users → Reset Master.
