Installation

LMS Wireless Scene Controller:

3-core 230v mains input is required.

LMS Wireless Scene Controller Battery:

For optimum signal transmission ensure installation with sticker face plate facing out and not fully enclosed in a metal housing.

2 x AAA batteries is required.

The batteries will last for more than 5 years with up to 50 activations per day.


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Create a Scene Controller profile, if needed use the instructions 6. Creating profiles

  2. Create a simulated device 3. Creating Simulated Devices for the scene controller. Go to Configure and change the profile to the one you created.

  3. Create links from the Scene Controller to other devices 7. Linking

  4. Go to Scenes. Here you will be able to create settings for each button in your scene controller. The Profile with which the scene controller is communicating will be assigned automaticaly.

  5. You can create settings for brightness, colour temperature and RGB or use the default settings as described below. To change the lamp on levels for each linked profile, click on the lamp % box and click save.

If this displays a set of buttons only, as below, then close this view by clicking 'Edit' and enter the admin pin (0000 by default).

By default, the scenes are preset with the following parameters:

The default Colour temperature is set to 3497k. You can change it by clicking the value and choosing a new value from the box. Be aware, that the box only uses the colour temperature value and not the brightness level.

If you have RGB luminaires available make sure your profiles are set correctly - if not you might have a Conflict.

Click the RGBWA button and select the colour you want to use.

There are two ways of doing this.

  • Enter RGB values and hit Apply. You can add your favorite colours for later use.

  • Choose the colour on the colour picker and hit Apply.

To change the default profile names, long click on the scene name and click save.

If you need to remove linked profiles from a particular scene, select ‘Custom’ from the ‘Profiles’ drop down menu and the profiles list will then be editable.

If you don’t see this option make sure you are in basic settings of scenes by clicking the Scenes tab once more.

Changing additonal scene buttons (7,8,9,10), changing the scene delay or unticking ’synchronised profiles' are advanced features.

If you don’t see this option make sure you are in advances settings of scenes by clicking the Scenes tab once more.

Each button can have a different rank set. To do this click the rank value.

Total time for a scene message = Scene Delay + PIRTimeOut + Fade time + StandbyTime

  1. Test the scene operation using the Glamox Dongle. Ensure than the tablet is connected to the DONGLE and stand within RF range of the luminaires. Select a Scene (1-6) and click Test.

Repeat for each scene and adjust levels as required.

  1. Go to Lumianires tab and to Locate. Synchronise the Scene Settings with your Physical Scene Controller device. If you know the full serial number of the physical device then Change the Serial number from the Simulated 4 digit serial to the real number by Long Clicking the serial number and entering the full 6+ digit number.
    Click the simulated device icon on the drawing and it should change from Orange to Blue.

If you are using an LMS Wireless Scene Controller Battery, then you will need to wake the device up before finding it.

To do this, perform one of two actions, either:

  • Short press button one (release), then long press button one and button two together for 5 seconds (release).

OR

  • Short press button one 6 times within 10 seconds.

If you are using an LMS Wireless Scene Controller you will be able to find the device when clicking ‘Find’ as this does not require a ‘wake up’ sequence.

Once the LMS Wireless Scene Controller is found, you can drag and drop the physical device over the simulated device.

Click ‘Yes’ to replace the device.

  1. Go to Scenes tab, click on Sync and make sure all scenes turned blue.

If you are using an LMS Wireless Scene Controller Battery, you need to put the device into a ‘commissioning mode’.

To do this, perform one of two actions, either:

  • Press button one (release), then press and hold button one and button two together for 5 seconds (release).

OR

  • Press button one 6 times within 10 seconds.

Then, press ‘Sync’.

  1. Enter ‘Luminaires’ and make sure the scene controller and devices Configuration and Links are synced.

If using an LMS Wireless Scene Controller Battery, you will need to wait 45 seconds before being able to use a physical scene button after syncing the scenes.
