Installation

LMS Wireless Scene Controller:

3-core 230v mains input is required.

LMS Wireless Scene Controller Battery:

For optimum signal transmission ensure installation with sticker face plate facing out and not fully enclosed in a metal housing.

2 x AAA batteries is required.

The batteries will last for more than 5 years with up to 50 activations per day.


Step-by-Step Programming Instructions

Creating a Scene Controller profile:

  1. Click 'Profiles' and 'Component' view [1].

  2. Create a Profile for a Scene Controller.

    • Make sure SceneController type is selected [2].

    • Make sure the PowerOn level in ‘Driver’ settings is at least 1W.

    • To enable dimming and and dimming down functionality of the switch, make sure ‘Dim Up/Down’ [3] is ticked in the LiteIP Controller box (Make sure you are on 'Advanced' mode).

  3. Click ‘Save Changes’.

  1. Click 'Luminaires' and 'Locate'.

  2. Simulate a Device (by clicking in the empty Find Column [4] under the Find then drag the orange (simulated) device onto the drawing in an appropriate location.

  1. Click 'Configure' and change the profile of the device to the Scene Controller profile you have created above [5].


Creating links from the Scene Controller to other devices:

  1. Click 'Link'.

  2. Link the Scene Controller to the Devices to be controlled by:

    • drawing lines one at a time from the scene controller to the luminaire controller [1] OR,

    • highlight a group of devices to be controlled, then click “Link From X” [2] and enter the FULL serial number of the Scene Controller.


Commissioning scene controller buttons:

  1. Select 'Scenes' from the main menu at the top of the screen.

  2. If this displays a set of buttons only, as below, then close this view by clicking 'Edit' [1] and enter the security pin (0000 by default).

  1. Select up to 5 profiles to be controlled from the drop-down list. The list will include all of the profiles of the devices on the selected drawing, provided they have a ‘PowerOn’ setting of greater than zero. This prevents you from trying to control non-lighting devices such as Emergency Exit signs and Daylight Sensors.

  2. If an expected Profile is not included in the list then either there are no Devices with this profile on the selected drawing, or the Profile has PowerOn = 0.

  3. For each selected Profile, enter the required OnLevel for Scene 1. Repeat this for each of the remaining physcial Scenes 2 to 6.

  4. Change the Scene Delay from 600 seconds to a more suitable operation period for the proposed environment/purpose.

  5. To change the naming of the Scene, long click on the Scene name (i.e. Scene 1).

Total time for a scene message = Scene Delay + PIRTimeOut + Fade time + StandbyTime


Testing the scene operation using the Glamox Dongle:

  1. Ensure than the tablet is connected to the DONGLE and stand within RF range of the luminaires.

  2. Select a Scene (1-6) and click 'Test' [1].

  3. Repeat for each scene and adjust levels as required.


Synchronise the Scene Settings with your Physical Scene Controller device:

  1. Click ‘Luminaires' and 'Locate’.

  2. If you know the full serial number of the physical device then Change the Serial number from the Simulated 4 digit serial to the real number by Long Clicking the serial number [1] and entering the full 6+ digit number.

  3. Click the simulated device icon on the drawing and it should change from Orange to Blue.

If you are using an LMS Wireless Scene Controller Battery, then you will need to wake the device up before finding it.

To do this, perform one of two actions, either:

  • Press button one (release), then press and hold button one and button two together for 5 seconds (release).

OR

  • Press button one 6 times within 10 seconds.

  1. If you are using an LMS Wireless Scene Controller you will be able to find the device when clicking ‘Find’ as this does not require a ‘wake up’ sequence.

  2. Once the LMS Wireless Scene Controller is found, you can drag and drop the physical device over the simulated device.

  3. Click ‘Yes’ to replace the device.

  1. Click ‘Scenes'.

  2. All scenes will be red (unsycned), click ‘Sync’ [2] to sync all scene settings with the physical device. All scenes should turn blue once completed.

  1. Click ‘Luminaires’ and make sure the scene controller and devices Configuration and Links are synced.
