Access Point troubleshooting

Access Point Offline Possible Causes

This article may require you to open the Access Point and follow the LED indicators inside.

  • No Power to Access Point

    • Action: Check 230V mains power going into the Access Point.

    • Action: Power off/on the 230V mains power to the Access Point.

    • Action: Check if the 4G-dongle is connected to a network - blue LED indicator.

    • Action: Check if the red and green LED diodes on the Raspberry Pi are visible:

      • Red - indicates power to the Raspberry Pi,

      • Green - indicates data activity.

  • Action: Check 1A fuse (located internal to the Access Point). If a 500mA fuse has been used, replace with a 1A fuse instead.

  • Action: If all of the above are correct, then there is a possible issue with the Access Point Shield PCB.
