How to use it in the LMS design?

The sensor or bridge wirelessly extends the DALI bus, acting as a gateway between E2D (Vertex) and the Casambi network. After pairing, wireless devices can be configured and used like standard wired DALI devices.

Do not exceed the permissible number of connected switches - see https://glamox.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AIF-aQ.

How to commission it?

Sensor

The sensor is automatically detected and visible by Vertex as soon as it is connected.

Bridge

The bridge is automatically detected as soon as it is connected, but it isn’t visible in the Vertex UI.

Kinetic Switch

For the Vertex to detect your Kinetic Switch, you must first pair it using the Casambi app:

  1. Download the app (available in the App Store and Google Play).

  2. Create a new network and pair your Casambi devices.

  3. Detect the Kinetic Switch according to the app's instructions - you must touch your phone to the switch (NFC). The Kinetic Switch is not yet visible to the Vertex.

  4. Share switch data:

Go to the Gateways

Select your sensor or bridge

Go to the GATEWAY PARAMETERS section and activate Export switches.

  1. The Kinetic Switch is now visible in Vertex and can be configured.
