LMS E2D TOUCH PANEL 8" commissioning

The TOUCH PANEL comes with pre-installed software, if you want to update the software and check release notes go here

To set up your TOUCH PANEL, follow these instructions.

Network configuration

Connect the TOUCH PANEL to a power source and a LAN network with DHCP server.
Check the address IP of the tablet assigned by DHCP server. In your PC’s browser address bar, enter the TOUCH PANEL’s IP address followed by :8080 (for example, 10.33.33.33:8080).

To access the admin page from your PC, the TOUCH PANEL must be available on port 8080 over its IP address. If it is not accessible, check the firewall rules.

The sign-in page will appear. Enter the following credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: glxtouchadmin

Check and update firmware according to LMS E2D TOUCH PANEL 8" commissioning | Checking and updating software
Go to Network settings → Network configurations. Here, you can choose between a static IP or DHCP. We recommend using a static IP. In the Subject field, select the Static, then enter your IP address.

The sign-in page will appear on your PC. Enter using the same credentials as in Step 2.

TOUCH PANEL naming

To name your TOUCH PANEL, use your PC:

Go to Configuration → General info.
Enter the TOUCH PANEL name in the Tablet name field.
Select Save to apply the changes.

Checking and updating software

To check and update software use your PC.

In General info, go to the Other info section. Check if you have the latest software version for both the UI App and the Webserver App. You can find the latest available files LMS E2D TOUH PANEL software
If your software version is outdated download the latest files.
Extract the folder (there are 2 files inside)
Then, go to Other actions, select Select file, and upload the webserver file first.
Confirm the installation in the pop-up window.
Next, install the glamoxtouchpanel file the same way.

Panel settings

To set the panel design:

Go to Panel settings.
In the Link to panel design field, enter the target panel design. This can be a website (e.g., http://glamox.com) or a design hosted on a local network.
Select the screen orientation: Auto, Landscape, or Portrait.
Finally, select Send to panel.

The Previously displayed section shows the history of designs sent to the panel.

To ensure smooth operation, keep this list organized. Too many incorrect links may cause application errors.

Other actions

In Configuration, in the Other actions section, you will find three additional options.

Restart tablet

Restarting the TOUCH PANEL isn’t commonly needed but can be useful if you encounter issues with the Webserver App. When you restart the TOUCH PANEL, the entire system—including the Webserver App and UI App—is reloaded. The Webserver App is preconfigured to start automatically, which then launches the UI App. You don’t need to start any applications manually.

Restart app

Use it when you’ve already set a target panel design but need to reload it and refresh the UI App’s configuration. The Restart App button restarts only the UI App.

Identify tablet

The Identify feature helps locate a specific TOUCH PANEL when multiple devices are set up. When you select Identify tablet, the TOUCH PANEL runs a looping animation shown below (identify mode), similar to how lights blink to indicate their location.

Using the TOUCH PANEL

On the TOUCH PANEL, you should see the displayed panel design.

To access Settings, pinch the screen as if zooming out. Then, sign in to access an interface similar to the one on your PC.

Display issue

If the panel design does not display correctly, the screen below will appear.

If this happens, pinch the screen to access Settings and try the listed solutions.
