Creating the luminaires registers map for ModBus integration

This article will guide you step-by-step on how to create the luminaires registers map.

Step by step instructions

  1. Go to the Settings tab [1]. Open the Comissioning Report tab [2] and open select Device Data [3].

Now a window will open allowing you to choose the type of Data you want to include in your file, depending on your needs you can choose general lighting devices, emergency lighting devices or control devices. You can download the data in JSON or CSV format (recomended for MODBUS).
Fields we recomend selecting for ModBus:

  • General lighting

  • Emergency lighting

  • MODBUS profile

  • Vertex UID

  • DALI Input

  • Name

  • Short Adress

  1. Open the downloaded file using MS Excel. You will see information about your system (number of total devices, status information, Luminaires serial number, etc.).

Each luminaire data is stored in 50 registers (first 20 - data, 30 reserved for later use).
