4. Adding external sensors 230 V

Limitations & Considerations

Firmware Compatibility:

  • Only wireless drivers with firmware 2.1 or higher can be assigned to daylight areas controlled by External sensors.

  • Sensors can only be added to groups containing wireless drivers or luminaire-integrated sensors (firmware 2 or higher).

Zone Occupancy Sharing Behavior:

  • If zone occupancy sharing is disabled, lights in the group will react to group-level sensors but not to zone-specific sensors.

  1. Go to the desired group.

  1. Tap “+”.

  1. Tap SENSOR.

  1. Choose where you would like to add the sensor: zone or group.

  1. From the list, choose the sensor you have.

  1. Wait 10 seconds for the system to scan for available sensors.

  1. Use a flashlight to trigger the sensor or select it from the Discovered device list.

  1. Tap a pencil icon to rename a sensor.

  1. Tap “+” and then Finish adding.

Integration with Daylight Areas

External sensors 230 V can control daylight-dependent lighting behaviour by defining daylight areas. A daylight area ensures that only selected lights adjust their brightness in response to natural daylight levels.

Creating a Daylight Area

  1. After commissioning the sensor, tap “Create Daylight Area” in the app.

  2. Assign a name to the daylight area.

  3. Select which lights should be included in the daylight area.

  4. Tap “Calibrate and Turn On” to start the calibration process.

  5. Once calibration is complete, tap “Finish” to apply the settings.

Best Practices for Daylight Regulation

  • Calibrate at night or with blinds closed for accurate light level adjustment.

  • Up to 25 lights can be assigned to a single daylight area.

  • Frequent changes to daylight area assignments may cause unpredictable lighting behaviour.

Troubleshooting External Sensors 230 V

  • Sensor not detected? Ensure the sensor is powered on and within Bluetooth range.

  • Lights not responding to occupancy? Try removing and re-adding the sensor in the app.

  • Unexpected daylight regulation behaviour? Perform recalibration at night for better accuracy.

  • Zone-based sensors not triggering lights? Check zone occupancy sharing settings in the app.
