Symptoms

After supplying the Vertex 3, the SSID generated via the WiFi card is not visible (see 1. Quick start - first stepsarchived)

Cause

A bug in 3.0 and 3.1 firmware versions.

Temporary solution

Plug the ethernet cable to enable SSID. Use the ethernet cable to connect with your device.

Direct solution

The bug will be fixed in the new firmware version.
