Instruction
Make sure you have the latest commission app software.
You can check it on the Google Play Store. However, you must be logged into your Google account.
2. Make sure the GWR device you wish to update has been found and placed on the Site ID drawing. The Device Type will also need to be noted.
3. Make sure your DONGLE is connected to the App.
4. Click on the Bluetooth icon [1] and check if the DONGLE has firmware version 3.140 (or higher) [2].
5. Click the Luminaires tab [3] and select the Site ID [4].
6. Select Firmware [5].
7. Select Library [6].
8. Find and select the Device Type in the top left dialog box [7].
9. Find and select Load [8] on the correct firmware version you wish to use located in the bottom left dialog box.
The screen will turn grey for 10 seconds to load the firmware file, please wait for this to finish.
If you are unable to see Library files in the bottom left dialog box, click the Refresh button and wait 15 seconds. Then click on the Device Type in the top left dialog box again and firmware files will have now downloaded.
10. The Firmware file will now be loaded into the DONGLE (this can be seen in the bottom right dialog box).
11. Click on the desired Device Type you wish to create a rule for within the Device Types dialog box.
12. Select the Vmin value in the table and enter the Firmware version you require and click Save (in this example we will be using a Device Type 25 and Firmware version 5.040).
13. Select the Vmax (this will now be shown as v9.999) value in the table and enter the Firmware version you require and click Save.
14. Once you have created your firmware rules, click Close [9] on the rule page and Close again on the Software Update page.
15. Click on the Luminaires tab.
16. You will now see a RED Firmware value over the devices which you have set an update rule for.
17. Stand close to the GWR device you wish to update, click on the device and update will automatically begin.
The screen will turn grey for roughly 10-20 seconds to update the devices Firmware. Please do not turn the screen off or press any other buttons at this time.
If the update fails, move the DONGLE closer to the device and retry this step.
18. To verify the update has been completed, select the device again and look at the top left corner of the commissioning app to identify the new Firmware version [10].
