Here are some tips and best practises to make the integration of your local installation and setup of Glamox Connect as easy as possible.
In general, the golden rule is that it will always be easiest to commision and set up the local installation before connecting to Glamox Connect. Glamox Connect has automatic discovery, meaning that once you have adopted a gateway from local system into Connect, Connect will discover the devices and add them.
If you then move, remove or replace devices after this you might end up with faults in Connect.
A device in Glamox Connect is a representation of a uniqe device in local installation. Local addressing (like DALI short addresses) are only a location reference.
So replacing Device A with Device B after being added to Connect, will result in Device A being missing and Device B being a new device, regardless if they are on same physical location or same address (like DALI short address)
