Note

Software versions of 3.1.0 - 3.1.14 need a Deadtime Timer to be disabled.

For the software version of3.1.15 and newer Hysteresis parameter has to be adjusted to 0%.

Starting from software version 3.1.16 this issue is being solved by automatically adjusting these parameters for a newly found devices.

Instructions

  1. Go to the Node-RED and debug the message coming from the DALI2 Devs common node. Use the debug node for that.

    You should do it like in the picture below:

  2. Open the debug window in the Node-RED. Analyse the traffic on the DALI bus and look at the times when the message is sent.

If the messages are sent every second or faster, then you need to adjust parameter in the DALI-2 device’s light sensor instance. Follow the next steps to disable that and resolve the problem.

5. Select the Change properties option from the Actions panel at the bottom of the GUI.
6. Select the register as Light sensor and select the instance as 2, set the Hysteresis to 0 and check the send checkbox. Then, confirm your changes by clicking Run.
