Glamox Connect will display devices based on their uniqueness. This means that it is the physical device that is represented in Connect, not the local identifier that might be used, i.e. a name based on building drawing or even the DALI short address that the device has been assigned to.

Enter Glamox Connect. The new device will now be discovered by Glamox Connect and added to the system as a new device.
If you want the device to take the old device’s place you can do this from Settings [1]→ Site [2]

In Site settings → Site layout [3], select the correct floorplan and go to Position devices on floorplan [4]

Once in the Place devices screen, drag the new device from the list on the left side and drop it on top of the old device.
You will then get a dialogue helping you to the correct choice [5]:
“Yes, replace it” - The new device will take the old devices' place and inherit its history. The old device will still be present in the system, but not on any floorplan.
“No, add it as new” - The new device will be added to the floorplan as a new device next to old device. Old device will remain unchanged.
“Replace and delete old device from site” - Same as replacing BUT old device will be removed from the site (Hidden device). Use this if you are sure this is the correct device and that old device definately has been completely removed from the local installation.
