If you have emergency devices on your site you will in most cases encounter battery failure at some point. This means that you will need to replace the battery or the device itself in order to correct the situation.
Emergency devices are designed to adhear adhere to a standard of how long the device will operate on battery if the power supply is disrupted. You will get a battery failure warning when the battery capacity is no longer sufficient to keep the device on for the required amount of time.
Below you will find instructions you need to follow to fix this fault. Choose the path that is coherent with the way you are solving the issue.
Step-by-step instructions
1.a. Replacing entire device
If you are replacing the entire device, follow the local systems recommomendations to replace and commision the device.

1.b. Replacing battery only
Follow the device user manual on how to change battery in the emergency device. There is no need to re-program or commision the device following a battery replacement
2 Re-test emergency device
After servicing the emergency device, either by replacing it or by only changing the battery, it is important to re-test the device.

Scheduling emergency tests in Glamox Connect
You can use Glamox Connect to schedule tests for the service device automatically, or you can run manual tests.Connect to check if there is a scheduled emergency test in Connect or to perform a manual test.
Enter the All devices tab [1], you can search for your emergency devices using filters or search for a specific device. To see more information and to be able to perform actions on the device enter the detail page [2].
Scheduling emergency tests in Glamox Connect
If the device has been replaced, double check that the emergency device is connected to a light group and in the device details check if it has future tests already scheduled [3]. If the tests have tests are scheduled and the test timings are suitable you are finished.
You can find this on the device details page:
timing is suitable simply wait for thest to be performed and check if everything is okay.
If the device does not have an emergency group assignment and/or is missing test schedules you have to correct this by following the description instructions in Emergency light setup
If you wish to change the test timing you willl need to change the test schedule as described in Emergency light setup to set the desired test schedule to fit your needs.
Manual emergency tests
If there is not too many emergency devices being service, it might be easier to run tests for these few devices manually to avoid having to change entire schedule for all emergency devices.
You can do this from In the device detail page.Click on Controls (1.) details click on Controls [4] and then click on icons to either start funtional functional test (on the left) or duration test (2.)on the right) [5].
Remember to give enough time for the device to fully charge the battery before executing the tests. The duration test will run a full test of the battery to check its capacity.
