Microwave settings are used when there is a Microwave sensor in the Wireless Radio system. It can be an integrated sensor like the CMW-sen. In this article we will show you how to set and adjust a Microwave sensor to work properly in a set environment.
There are three microvave settings you can adjust:
MODE Microwave damping/Mode - this setting manages short spikes of interference by limiting the sensor’s response to sudden, brief disturbances. It’s particularly useful in environments where such transient interference is common, as it helps in maintaining accurate detection without overreacting to minor disturbances.
Mode 0 Microwave Disabled.
Mode 1 Microwave Enabled (most sensitive) – Inhibit on RF Transmit and Inhibit on DALI.
Mode 2 The same as Mode 1, but also Inhibit on Receive. Might reduce sensitivity in sites with lots of devices sending lots of RF messages.
Mode 3 Cap the Rise Steps – Useful when there are short spikes of interference.
TRIGERS Triggers - this setting decides after what amount of time activity before it’s triggered. Even though we have specific timings before a triggering occurs, the trigger period is dynamic in nature, due to the fact that it is dependant on other parameters
Triggers 0 50mS before triggering
Triggers 1 200mS before triggering
Triggers 2 350mS before triggering
Triggers 3 500mS before triggering.
SENSITIVITY Sensitivity - this setting decides on how the microwave will react to small movements, further away from the detector. This setting has settings from 1 to 15.
Sensitivity 1 Need to physically touch the device gently or make large movements within 100mm.
Sensitivity 15 Movement of an arm will be detected 10m from the sensor. Sensitivity is reduced by objects in front of detector such as housings and diffusers.
Step by step instructions
First create a microwave profile. In the components section make sure that the Light IP component is set to Microwave [1] and the driver is set to what you have in your lumianires [2]. Now go to the Advancced settings [3].
...
Click on the Microwave [4]. You will then see three consecutive fields where you will set parameters of micorwave settings you need. The settings will be later visable in he advanced setting as Microwave dimming/Triggers/Sensitivity. Remember to save changes!

In certain situations you might want to change the setting of one or two lumainires without creating a new profile. This might happen if you have some additional vibrations in a certain part of a room, which make the sensors be too sensitive.
You can make a small tweek to the sensitivity parameter of an individual luminaire by clicking Microwave Tweek [5] in the Configure section. This will allow you to change the setting anywhere from -5 to lower sensitivity to +5 to increase sensetivity of a lumainire.

If you change a profiles' settings tweeks in your systems will not be affected. |
