LiteIP Portal Account (Windows Authentication)
If you have a Google Account for the Tablet, and you have completed the process above, then a Portal account will have been created with the same email account used to create the LiteIP Tablet Account. You can use this as your Portal Account (as long as ‘Dashboard User’ was ticked under new user creation, but you will still need to Register on the dashboard as below in order to create a Windows Authenticated password which will NOT be linked to either the Google or Wireless Radio passwords above. Using the same account for Tablet and Dashboard control has the advantage that you only have one account with which to control access to different Projects.
It can be confusing having two accounts with the same account name but different passwords and furthermore you may not use the Gmail account to receive emails. It may therefore be better to use your own business email address for the Dashboard account. This account name is also used for Account Registration and it is the email address to which automated reports will be sent.
There are two steps to creating a Wireless Radio Dashboard account, Creation and Registration:
Creation - Your Wireless Radio accounts administrator will create an account using your email address as the account name. You must have access to the email account used as this is where the Registration email will be sent to. You need to open this email and click on a link in order to Authenticate and activate the account.
Info: Registration details may be recorded in the account details including a telephone number and an alternative correspondence email address. These will not be used apart from to contact you to alert you to any specific account related issues.
Registration - Once a Dashboard account has been created, you will need to Register the account before you can login. This creates an encrypted password that you can manage using Windows authentication. When you Register, an email will be sent which you must open and confirm by clicking in the link in the email within 15 minutes.
